Giftsilver.com only ships from our warehouse in Austria and India depending upon availability of product. Every purchase is inspected to be free of defects before being shipped to you. When your order is shipped you will receive an email with the UPS tracking number of your shipment.
You pay shipping charges approximately the same as the actual shipping charges we pay to UPS for shipping your orders. We work on principles of no profit on shipping charges. Our shipping rate structure has been designed by analyzing past data on real shipping charges paid to the courier companies for every item in its packaged form. Shipping weight of each product is mentioned when viewing a product description. All products are shipped in their presentation box.
We are aware that one of the greatest impediments to e-commerce is the shipping charge paid by the customers. We have therefore initially even toyed with the idea of making shipping free. We however soon figured that this was not an answer to the problem. Shipping charges would infact get added to the product price and customer would pay unfairly high price if he purchased multiple items under the same order. This happens because all courier companies charge a minimum base shipping charge for first ½ kg and thereafter shipping charges keep going marginally up in sliding scale according to the volumetric weight of the shipment. For economies of freight cost, you may select products and roughly calculate their respective shipping weight mentioned and see that they come in slots of 500grams. For example you select a product with shipping weight 600 gms. In this case if you select an addition product having shipping weight of 350 gms, you still will be paying same freight charges which you would be paying for the first product of 600gms.
Giftsilver.com ships all orders within 1 to 8 business days of receipt of order, in the unlikely event of out of stock inventory we will notify you by e-mail. In orders with engraving, additional time of 4 to 6 days can be taken.
Products shipped may be subject to duties or customs fees. These fees are the customers responsibility to pay at the time when items are received.
On some very special occasions, as a part of promotional exercise we make shipments free for a very limited period. However on all such occasions the product prices still remain constant and do not go up because of free shipping.
